Carers Week 2023 will take place between Monday 5th – Sunday 11th June. It’s an annual national campaign to recognise and celebrate the UK’s 5.7 million unpaid carers, and to raise awareness and highlight the challenges they face.

A carer is someone who provides unpaid care to someone who has a disability, illness, is frail, has a mental health condition or addiction. Many unpaid carers do not recognise themselves as a carer, they see it’s just looking after their spouse or partner, child, friend or neighbour.
