Carer Information and Support Groups

We will be covering a wide range of areas – 15 different locations – and will be running 131 in-person sessions and six Zoom sessions throughout the year, giving you the opportunity to meet other carers and talk to our experienced support team. All groups will offer refreshments.

Although we are not running a programme of speakers this year we will still be delivering the following subjects in some of the locations; Understanding Stress, Anxiety, Depression and Lasting Power of Attorney. We will also be holding some Q&A sessions with our support workers. These will take up no more than half of the group time, still leaving plenty of time for tea and chat.

Understanding Stress, Anxiety and Depression: Understand the impact of stress on carers, recognise the signs of anxiety and depression, and find out how to help yourself and how to access support.

LPOA: All you need to know about Lasting Power of Attorney. The session is delivered by a partner solicitor and includes time for questions.

Q&A Session: Ask our support workers any questions, from emergency planning to benefit entitlements and everything in between.
