Their Better Lives Strategy sets out their overall vision and approach to supporting adults to live well and live better lives.

National Poetry Day 2024
To celebrate National Poetry Day on 3rd October 2024, we invited carers to enter our Poetry Competition. Carers had to write and submit an original poem with the theme of “What Does Caring Mean To You?”

New online support tool for unpaid carers
Bridgit Care have partnered with Carers Bucks to provide an online support tool for unpaid carers in Bucks. Get information to help in your caring role, health and wellbeing advice, signposting to other local services, WhatsApp coaching and more.
Carers Bucks Peer Support Facebook Group
Join our Carers Bucks Peer Support Facebook Group to chat with other carers, offer tips and ideas, share experiences about what has helped you in your caring role, or just simply say how you’re feeling. This closed private group is for carers aged 18+ who are registered with Carers Bucks. It will be monitored by Carers Bucks on weekdays 9am – 4.30pm.
Carer’s Leave Act
On 6th April 2024, the Carer’s Leave Act 2023 came into force, giving employees with unpaid caring roles the right to take up to five days of unpaid leave from work each year to fulfil their caring responsibilities.
Monthly Evening Online Support Group for Carers
If you’re a working carer, parent carer or have been unable to join our daytime support groups, we’re hoping our evening group will give you an opportunity to meet other carers.

Buckinghamshire Council have developed a contingency plan template to enable unpaid carers to keep a record of arrangements that are currently in place.
