We enjoyed a fantastic day with City & Guilds, where 5 of our young adult carers took part in an employability day in central London with Carers Trust.
Our young adult carers enjoyed sessions on interview skills, networking, and writing CVs. As a group, we talked about being open about our caring roles when attending interviews, as many of the skills we develop through caring responsibilities are transferable to the workplace.
Our top tip takeaway: check your employer offers flexible working, as all employers should. Thank you to City & Guilds and The Carers Trust!
