How Do I Become A Registered Young Carer?

A referral is made into our Young Carers service by a professional that is supporting you or your family. If a professional referral cannot be obtained, we will accept a self-referral.

The referral is then processed and allocated to a support worker. The support worker will make contact to organise an opportunity to meet you and your family in person.

When the support worker visits you, they will tell you about our services and ask you some questions about your caring role.

After your assessment our team discuss the best level of support we can provide to you.

A welcome email will be sent to you to notify you that you are now registered with Young Carers Bucks.

* We would like to remind families that Carers Bucks is a voluntary service and that families do not have to register with us if they do not wish to.
